• Kyanite is a very difficult material to work with and it takes care and skill to make a sphere of this quality. The difficulty comes from the directionality of the hardness of this material; i.e. the hardness is different depending on whether cutting across the crystal or lengthwise.
• This kyanite sphere is full of beautiful blue and chatoyant crystals in quartz and mica and it is a rare collector's item.
