• This rhodochrosite sphere comes from Argentina. It has outstanding patterns, very gemmy sections and it is part of a stalactite. The metal visible in the photos is most likely psilomelane and it too has very nice patterns.
• The workmanship of the sphere and its polish are excellent. There are minor surface imperfections to be expected in a stalactitic piece, mixed with another mineral (metal) and having such a convoluted pattern.
• This Rhodochrosite sphere is a great collector's item.
• In my reference book, rhodochrosite is described as "the stone of love and balance" and has an extensive description of other metaphysical and healing properties.
