  This is an outstanding fossil bog sphere; it is unusually colorful with lots of blues in various shades. Dale, thespheremaker, made this beautiful sphere and he did an excellent job. There are fractures (very common in petrified wood) but the polish overall is very good. The fractures are healed or sealed and they are visible in the photos. The material is fossil bog (various swamp matter including wood, grasses etc.) and it comes under various names like Gary Green Jasper and Larsonite. This petrified bog sphere is a great collectors' item! Please note that there are more photos of this petrified bog sphere following the description.
