4"D Spider Web Jasper Sphere Large Decor Ball - Oregon, spj16

This jasper is so unusual not so much for the spiderweb patterns, which are awesome, but the knobs, nooks, and crannies it has throughout.
Those "irregularities" are caused by nodules embedded into the jasper and when they pop out they leave a raw void behind.
One can avoid those rough looking voids when making cabs but not so easily when making spheres because they are all over.
Having said all that, I think spider web jasper is wonderful and the nooks and crannies give it a lot of character
Dale made this beautiful sphere and his workmanship is excellent.
