Dale made this rare vesuvianite sphere. The original crystal was a host for yellow garnets but the garnets were too small. So Dale decided to cut it and make a sphere instead.
The material is gemmy, translucent, and it has a beautiful yellow/brown color.
Vesuvianite is also called idocrase and looks like garnet. Vesuvianite was originally found on Mt. Vesuvius in Italy, and hence its name. This vesuvianite comes from Mali, Africa.
It is said that vesuvianite (idocrase) "...can be used to dispel anger, to banish depression, and to allay fear".

Approximate size: 1.28 inches or 32.5 mm
