  Petoskey Stone is a colony coral called hexagonaria percarinata that thrived 350 million years ago during the Devonian period in an area covered with water and what is now Michigan. Among other areas in Michigan, Petoskey stone is also found in and at the shores of lake Michigan around the town of Petoskey. Dale made this Petoskey Stone sphere and his workmanship is outstanding. The sphere has an excellent polish. This Petoskey Stone sphere is a great collector's item.
