3.1"D Lysite Agate Sphere Rare Chalcedony Gemstone Ball -
Lysite Mountain, Wyoming,
spa8
|
- Dale made this wonderful
lysite agate sphere and he did an outstanding job.
- Lysite agate comes from
Lysite Mountain, Wyoming and I understand it is rather
scarce.
- The lysite
agate of this ball has inclusions of what appear to be fossils in
aragonite (much softer material than agate).
- The sphere has a nice polish and vugs full
of botryoidal chalcedony (agate). There are also fractures and some
uneven feel, as expected, due to the different hardness of the
agate and aragonite.
- This lysite agate sphere is
gorgeous and a rare collectors' item.
- It
is said that
"chalcedony is useful for balancing the energy of the body, mind,
emotions, and spirit".
- Approximate weight: 1 lb 7
oz
- Approximate size: 3.1
inches diameter or 79 mm
