Dale made this wonderful lysite agate sphere and he did an outstanding job.
Lysite agate comes from Lysite Mountain, Wyoming and I understand it is rather scarce.
The lysite agate of this ball has inclusions of what appear to be fossils in aragonite (much softer material than agate).
The sphere has a nice polish and vugs full of botryoidal chalcedony (agate). There are also fractures and some uneven feel, as expected, due to the different hardness of the agate and aragonite.
This lysite agate sphere is gorgeous and a rare collectors' item.
It is said that "chalcedony is useful for balancing the energy of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit".

Approximate size: 3.1 inches diameter or 79 mm
