Zebra Stone sphere and great for your collection or
decor.
- Unlike a crystal ball, there is
so much to see ON rather than IN the sphere and the best of all is
that everybody can see it.
- There are criters and structures
and whatever your imagination can ..."see". All these unique and
amazing patterns were created by Mother Nature.
- Dale made this sphere and he did a great job.
Zebra Stone does not polish and therefore the sphere is smooth and
it has a satin finish.
- There are rings of gray color on each of the
"poles". They are natural and part of the material and not
workmanship related.

It is a zebra stone
sphere.
- Zebra stone is a
siliceous argilite (mudstone with silica) and comes in some
incredible patterns in reddish brown on cream
background.

Western Australia and it is 600 million years
old.
- The workmanship of the sphere is outstanding.
Zebra stone does not polish so the sphere has a very smooth finish
but it is not shiny. There is a hairline fracture that was treated
before the sphere was made so it does not affect the integrity of
the sphere

Description:
- Here's a very rare sphere;
it is made of brilliant red zircon from Tanzania.
- At
the clear (non-fractured) parts of the crystal, the color of this
stone can be seen in some depth and it varies from bright red to
darker red to brownish red.
- The
sphere has many fractures and in some sections it looks like the
crystal was shattered. These are internal fractures contained in
the crystal Dale cut to make the sphere.
- Please note that this is a
natural zircon and not grown in a laboratory.
- For
your information, zircon (same as other gems) has insignificant
amounts of radioactivity.
- This red zircon sphere
is rare and a great collector's item.
- This red zircon sphere has
about 1" diameter or 25.8 mm and it weighs about 42.4 g (212.5
ct).

1.9"D Kimberlite Sphere Rare Rock

Description:
- Here's a sphere
you may not have seen before. It is kimberlite, the diamond carrier
rock (hopefully there are no diamonds in this
one).
- Kimberlite forms
deep in the earth's manlte (93-280 miles) and surfaces as a result
of
erupltions.
- Kimberlite, in
addition to diamonds, may carry garnet, olivine, ilmenite and
others. This sphere has ilmenite (black and steel black) and a red
garnet crystal ( long crystal visible in the photos) and other
minerals that I do not
recognize.
- The kimberlite for this sphere comes from the
Monastir Mine near the boarder of Lesotho. The sphere was made in
So. Africa.
- This kimberlite sphere is rare and a
great collector's item.

sphere.
- Pop corn onyx
rough is not something one comes across too often. We purchased one
chunk of it from a Chinese dealer at Quartzite, AZ during the rock
and gem show and Dale made this sphere from a part of
it.
- The sphere has beautiful patterns and, of
course, many vugs. The mineral is limestone with a little
aragonite. We believe, this pop corn onyx
comes from China.
- This pop corn onyx sphere is a great collectors'
item.

- Although orpiment was used
as a medicine in China and as a pigment for painting all over the
world, is highly
toxic (Arsenic Sulfide).
- This sphere is a
collectible item and presents no safety issue as long as it is
displayed on a shelf. Please do not lick it, make tea with it or
give it to children or pets to play with. Many minerals are toxic
and in order to enjoy them as part of our collections, we should
treat them with respect and some of them with lots of
respect...
- Dale made this opriment
sphere and he did a great job. Orpiment is a soft material and does

amethyst agate sphere loaded with attractive dendrites. I suppose
the "amethyst" part of the name comes from the purple color of this
agate and I could not explain the "sage" part until I checked it
for fluorescence. It does have a sage color under the black light
(not too bright but pleasant).

amethyst (or amethyst sage) from Nevada and he did an outstanding

Germany.
- This bismuth sphere includes some matrix
material and more so on one area (reddish) which always stays at
the top no matter how one rolls the sphere (bismuth is very
heavy).

is nicely made, free of lumps, and has a good polish even at the
matrix material.

- As far as I know, bismuth is non-toxic but it is
a good idea to be cautious and not lick the sphere or make tea with
