Description:
- This rare and exquisite Owyhee Picture Jasper
sphere is from Dale's personal collection.
- The workmanship of this owyhee jasper sphere and
the quality of the material are both outstanding. The colors are
wonderful tans and browns in fine artistic patterns outlined with
very desirable red color. The patterns are very lovely. There are
healed fractures, common in jaspers.
- Owyhee picture jasper is another incredible
jasper that comes from Oregon.
- According to my reference, picture jasper is a stone of
"proportion and harmony" and I could not agree more!

Description:
- This exquisite Owyhee Picture Jasper sphere is
from Dale's personal collection.
- The workmanship of this owyhee jasper sphere and
the quality of the material are both outstanding. The colors are
wonderful tans and browns in fine artistic patterns outlined with
very desirable red color. There is also light blue, as well as
green, and cream (almost white). The patterns are very lovely.
There are healed fractures, common in jaspers.
- Owyhee picture jasper is another incredible
jasper that comes from Oregon.

- This jasper is so unusual not so much for the
spider web patterns, which are awesome, but the knobs, nooks, and
crannies it has throughout.
- Those "irregularities" are caused by nodules
embedded into the jasper and when they pop out they leave a raw
void behind. One can avoid those rough looking voids when making
cabs but not so easily when making spheres because they are all
over. Having said all that, I think this jasper is wonderful and
the nooks and crannies give it a lot of character

- This jasper is so unusual not so much for the
spiderweb patterns, which are awesome, but the knobs , nooks, and
crannies it has throughout.
- Those "irregularities" are caused by nodules
embedded into the jasper and when they pop out they leave a raw
void behind. One can avoid those rough looking voids when making
cabs but not so easily when making spheres because they are all
over. Having said all that, I think this jasper is wonderful and
the nooks and crannies give it a lot of character
- Dale made this beautiful sphere and his
workmanship is excellent. One of the nooks had a powedery substance
that Dale had to remove and fill the void with clear fill to
stabilize it. This fill should not to be confused with the dolphin
shaped clear agate in one of the nodules. The price of the sphere
reflects the fill.

over. Having said all that, I think this jasper is wonderful and
the nooks and crannies give it a lot of character
- Dale made this beautiful sphere and his
workmanship is excellent. However, the material had too many nooks
and crannies including a large one visible in the photos. Altough
not collectors' grade, the sphere is large, impressive and
excellent for decor. The price of the sphere has been
reduced.
